Rizwan Arshad Reaches Out to Bangalore through Social Media

The Bangalore Central Congress candidate and Karnataka Youth Congress President Rizwan Arshad's campaign got support from the youth in the city with a group launching a social media campaign. The 'Friends of Rizwan' launched the campaign to convey message of the young leader from Bangalore.

Launching the website and the social media campaign Minister for Information Roshan Baig expressed hope that the youth would participate actively using the new media. "Today's youth are empowered with communication on their fingertips. They have smartphones, laptops etc. The social media campaign by friends of Rizwan will go a long way in sharing his dream and ambition amongst the people. I am sure that the first time and young voters who don't attend public meetings will know what is best for them, when they get information on their phones/laptops," Mr Baig said. Social media campaigns have started dominating the campaign strategies of several candidates in the three segments in Bangalore Mr Rizwan expressed hope that the communication through social media would have required impact.
